1. phpWebsite

phpWebsite is a content management system provided by Electronic Student Services at Appalachian State University. Electronic Student Services, a department at Appalachian State University, developed phpWebsite to make it easier for staff to build and update their websites.

phpWebsite is a fork of PHP-Nuke and considered a free and open-source software and is released under the LGPL. It is programmed using the PHP scripting language and requires a MySQL database. It is a CMS that is often used by community groups and education users.

phpWebsite is a customizable, modular package whereby each component can be installed, updated or modified by the phpWebsite administrator. The customization is extended to the user with selectable themes and HTML templates. The web-based administration allows for easy maintenance of inter-active, community-driven websites.
